Jacque Bisset is an award-winning painter, illustrator and sculptor, whose work appeared on the covers of Art Calendar, and several French art magazines.
When Jacques was just six years old, he heard his father say for the first time a well-known French saying “Quand on n’a pas ce que l’on aime, Il faut aimer ce que l’on a.” It’s translation is When one doesn’t have the things that one loves, one must love what one has.At that moment, Jacques started wondering would it be possible for one to love something one is created on one’s own, without using too many resources, just one’s will and commitment. A day later, he started drawing and sketching his first artworks.
Bisset began studying Liberal Studies and Art History at Paris College of Art in 2008. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree, he continued his studies in Painting and Drawing, receiving a Master of Arts (MA) degree.
In 2015, Bisset was written up in several French art magazines and newspapers including Beaux Arts Magazine, Dossier de l’Art, and Grande Galerie. His work has also been shown in prestigious locations such as The Centre Pompidou, Musée des Beaux Arts in Dijon, and Musée Matisse in Nice.
